Philippine is known as an archipelago country that consists of islands. As of 2024, the Philippines already have approximately 7,640 islands that you can find in three major island groups namely; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.  Each islands consist different beauty and treasure that every tourist always wants to see in our country.

Luzon is known for its mountains, beaches, coral reefs, and the national capital of the country, Manila. Visayas this is where you can see one of the greatest beaches in the country, Boracay. Lastly, Mindanao also known for its beaches, spectacular forest. They are also rich in history and known in tropical fruit trade.

 

PALAWAN ISLAND

Palawan is one of the famous islands’ tourists are always fond of seeing and experiencing the activities this place offers. It is known for its turquoise waters, abundant jungles, and hidden beaches. Because of its well-maintained place, it brings joy to the tourist who loves snorkeling and diving activities.

 

This is where you can see Puerto Princesa, the island’s provincial capital. You can see here one of the most protected caves in the Philippines, Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. This features an amazing limestone or karst limestone and contains an 8.2 km long underground river.

 

El Nido is known for its limestone cliff, lagoons, and other beautiful beaches on the island. This place is famous for its white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, coral; reefs, and limestone rock formation. Snorkeling and scuba diving are the activities tourists can do here and will surely enjoy because of the well-maintained beach.

 

Coron is considered the wreck diving capital of the Philippines. This place is also known for its remarkable snorkeling and diving experience. You can also witness the beauty of corals, different fish species, and the shipwreck during World War II.  Aside from that, hikers will also love the idea of going to Coron because of its astonishing views like Mt. Tapyas. This summit has a panoramic view of Coron Bay, sunset, and sunrise.

 

CEBU ISLAND

Cebu is known as the original capital of the Philippines during the Spaniard era until 17th century. This place also known as “The Queen of the South” and the largest island in Visayas region. This area is divided into urban and rural places. Just like other places in the country, Cebu already have industrial hub, shopping establishment, and other building you can see in other urban places in the Philippines. Contrary to that, this island contains hills, mountain ranges, beaches, forest, and fishing grounds.

 

Kawasan Falls Canyoneering, this activity is known for outdoor trek that include traveling down the creeks through walking, jumping, climbing, and swimming. But no worries because you will have a guide throughout your canyoning. For safety, tourist must wear life vest and helmet because this activity is more on physical. Wearing an appropriate footwear should be considering for a safety walk specially in slippery ground.

 

Whale Shark Interaction, now experience the once-in-a-lifetime happening in your life while staying in Cebu. Having interaction with whale sharks is kind of frightening and alarming for new people in snorkeling, but surely a worth it idea. Take note that during your snorkeling you will be guided and will have proper instructions on what to do under the water. Panicking is not the best companion during this activity and keeping a safe distance is a must.

 

Osmeña Peak, after the water activities, it’s time to see the beauty of land in Cebu. Of course, during your hike you have a choice to hire a tourist guide or hike on your own. But for a new tourist, it is better to have a guide so that you will not get lost and learn few facts and stories related to the area you are hiking. At the peak of Osmeña, by the time you arrive you will witness the beauty of sunrise as the day start to bloom.

 

Casino Peak Trek, from Osmeña Peak, you can also hike the Casino Peak and that is about an hour of trek. Before your hiking start, there will be a 30 pesos of entrance fee per head. The estimated time before you arrive at the top of the trek is 10-minute trekking but quite challenging because of its steep ground. Doing this activity will of course be challenging but it will always worth to try because of its picturesque view of sunset and other peaks.

 

BORACAY ISLAND

Boracay is one of the famous and well-known island in the Philippines that tourist love to visit every time they are visiting the Philippines. The reason why this place won a lot of awards is because of itS long stretch of fine white sand, crystal clear and azure waters, lastly the stunning sunset you can witness. With different activities like Kayak, Paddling, Para Sailing, and other water sports and activities.

Puka Beach, this beach is used to be known as one of the quite place in Boracay. But now that a lot of tourists already discover this place, it become not so quite anymore but still remain a good spot to enjoy the place. You can bring a mat for beach picnic and collect shells, enjoy the water and the view, and enjoy the sunset when the crowds are fewer.

 

Coral Garden, this activity is surely good for everyone who loves swimming while witnessing the beauty under the sea. It is ideal for those who are just starting to love snorkeling and diving. The name itself will never disappoint you because of many healthy and amazing corals and fishes.

 

Magic Island, is known for its 3-meter to 10-meter high of cliff where tourist can experience cliff diving. 3-meter or 10 feet is said to be good for children who likes to experience this activity. While the 10-meter or 30 feet high is good for adult who are expert with this activity. But no need to worry because there is a stand by lifeguard and tourist can wear life vest if they feel that they needed it.

 

Crocodile Island, an uninhabited island that is good for diving spot, snorkeling, and other water activities. The reason why it is called crocodile because of its resemblance to the shape of crocodile. Take note that the water in this island have a strong current so tourists are being advise to check is the water current is good for water activities or not.
